It’s been a while since I have written on my blog, so apology to all of my followers.
I have been very busy working 80 hour weeks at my full time nanny job, so I no longer have a social life or time to do anything.
I lost one of my best friends, Sawyer Bates a few weeks ago. I fell in love with who he was as a person. No matter how hurt I was he kept me smiling, and reminding me that I’m living in an imperfect world, so I just had to keep on going. He died of a brain aneurysm very randomly. He was in perfect health. One minute he was playing football with his friends, the next minute he was gone. He mean the world to me. I received a call—being his emergency contact in Auburn—and I was told he had been rushed to the hospital by ambulance. I stayed at the hospital until his dad was able to get up here—which is when we found out he had passed away. I held his lifeless hand in mine, and recounted what an amazing life he had, and what a role model he was for me.
This morning I found out about the death of a boy from my hometown, Elijah Tolbert. He died in a tragic motorcycle accident. I haven’t seen him since I was little, but from what I have collected he lived his life to the fullest, and was a hero to so many.
These boys were both young. It makes me realize how quick our lives are. We could die at any minute. Do you think you have fulfilled your life enough to leave this earth? Have you become an inspiration to others? When I leave this earth I want to have others say “Chelsea Lolley lived her life”. I don’t want life to pass me by, without taking a glance. I want to look at life, and smile. I want to become that person who others think has found their way to christ, and who people want to become more like. I haven’t reached that point yet, where I could honestly say if I died tomorrow, I would know that I made an impact on this earth.
So I leave you with this quote.
Don’t let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you can do.
-John Wooden
—-Make the most out of your life. Do all that you can to be a role model to your peers, and an inspiration to all.
